Based on a story made up by a patient receiving mental care in a Danish psychiatric, the film tells the story of a family gathering in an old castle to celebrate their father's 60th birthday. At the dinner, the eldest son publicly accuses his father of sexually abusing both him and his twin sister who had recently committed suicide.
In this stage adaptation, we assist to the dinner celebration as guests, we seat at the table, eat and cheer with the family members, witnessing the miseries of their family history.
